ATTORNEYS-AT-LAW ARE HEREBY REMINDED THAT THEIR ANNUAL PRACTISING CERTIFICATE SHOULD BE RENEWED ON JANUARY 1, 2022.
UNDER THE LEGAL PROFESSION ACT, IT IS A BREACH OF THE CODE OF ETHICS FOR AN ATTORNEY TO PRACTISE AT THE PRIVATE BAR WITHOUT HOLDING A PRACTISING CERTIFICATE.
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT A PENALTY AMOUNTING TO TWICE THE ESTABLISHED FEES WILL BE APPLIED TO ATTORNEYS WHO DO NOT APPLY FOR THEIR PRACTISING CERTIFICATE ON OR BEFORE THE 28TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 2022.

| Attorneys-at-Law who have retired from practice, but who wish to maintain a Practising Certificate. | J$10,000.00 |
| Attorneys-at-Law in their first year of practice who apply for a practising certificate after September 1 in that year. | J$7,200.00 |
Payment may be made by cheque, debit and credit cards at the GLC’s office, 78 Harbour Street, Kingston, or via wire transfer/direct deposit to National Commercial Bank, Duke Street Branch, Account#064810995 c/o General Legal Council.
